"Radiological Protection of the Environment: From Recommendations to Practice"

Join ICRP and the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) for a joint webinar exploring how radiological protection of the environment is being implemented around the world.

Drawing on findings from a new global survey, the webinar will explore how ICRP recommendations—including Reference Animals and Plants (RAPs) and Derived Consideration Reference Levels (DCRLs)—are being applied in practice, the challenges stakeholders are encountering, and what these experiences could mean for the ongoing review and revision of the System of Radiological Protection.

Hear perspectives from across the international community and contribute to the discussion on future guidance, tools, training, and international harmonisation.

Objectives

  • Present key findings from the EGRPE survey;
  • Explore how ICRP RPE recommendations are currently being implemented across different jurisdictions;
  • Identify common drivers, benefits and challenges associated with environmental radiological protection;
  • Discuss lessons learnt from the practical application of RAPs, DCRLs and supporting assessment tools;
  • Consider implications for the ongoing revision of the SRP; and,
  • Gather stakeholder perspectives on future priorities for guidance, training, tools and international harmonisation.
